Aconcagua season complete - safe and sound

The final AMS Aconcagua team of early 2011 has returned from the mountain, safe and sound. Well Done!

They put in a great effort but were kept back with high winds and snow on their summit attempt. The team was able to experience an unprecedented amount of snow on the higher mountain this year, mountains will be mountains... Great job to everyone, we know you put your best efforts into climbing the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere!

A special thanks go to all who signed on with AMS this year - without you we couldn't do what we love!

And to AMS guides that pull it all together out there: Tom Torkelson, Fermin Avila, and Nick D'Allessio. At the AMS HQ, we have received mountains of high praises about you, of course we knew you were all rock stars long ago!
