AMS Guide Nick D' Alessio just phoned in from the Scandianavian Peaks! To maximize their time, early this morning the team of three drove south from Talkeetna to sunnier skies to Palmer, AK. From their they flew in to an area called the Scandianvian Peaks in the Chugach Mountains.
Upon landing and setting up camp, they promptly headed off to climb Norway Peak (they made it just shy of the top) Yay! They had an excellent long day in the mountains; their patience awaiting good weather has been rewarded! Congrats to them.
The next several days hold a wide variety of climbing opportunities for them, they are in for some fun!
