Heading for the Airport

The Kahiltna Dome team and the 6-Day Mountaineering Course team loaded up and headed to the airport first thing this morning. The air taxi said that the clouds were burning off of the Alaska Range bit by bit and they expected to be flying as soon as Base Camp opens up.
Larry says "Hi" to the Corps of Discovery! We'll try to blog here for you when we can.
The Pika Glacier is open this morning, so the 6-Day Course group is headed there. What a great place!

Sounds like we might see Nate & Kirk out of the Range this morning. The pilots are going to work in the areas that are open, maybe the Ruth Glacier will be next, and hopefully work their way to Base Camp. Should be a busy day; we've got the watermelon at the ready.
