Gowler Report

Rob called in. His group made a summit attempt yesterday, but decided at Denali Pass that the winds were too strong and returned to camp. They got back to camp early enough to rest and eat and hydrate for another attempt today if the winds decrease. Everyone was fine and doing well. 17,200' is a tough place to live for people who are unprepared and the reason why people scurry back down after two or three days. Its not so bad if you arrive there with skills to live comfortably.
